A 6-Week Series in Mindful Connection & Creative Expression

Transform your Tuesday evenings into something sacred: a weekly ritual of connection, creativity, and gratitude. Over six weeks, you'll rediscover the profound joy of handwritten letters paired with creating your own beautiful mixed-media art cards. You'll explore why analog connection feels so essential in our digital world. You'll master techniques that turn simple cards into treasures, all while building genuine relationships within our intimate creative community. Each week builds naturally upon the last, creating both artistic skills and a heartfelt practice that will transform how you connect with others long after our final session.

  • When: Tuesdays, January 13-February 17, 2026 (SESSION A: 4:30pm PT / 7:30pm ET - SESSION B: 6:30pm PT / 9:30pm ET)

  • Duration: 1.5 hours weekly for 6 weeks

  • Where: Zoom with intimate community atmosphere

  • Group Size: Limited to 10 participants for deep connection

  • Playshop fees:

    • Early Bird (first 6 registrations): $120 for all 6 weeks

    • Regular Registration (final 4 registrations): $150 for all 6 weeks

    • Alumni Drop In Rate: $15/session or $75 for all 6 weeks

What You’ll Experience Across 6 Weeks

    • Opening Circle (15 minutes): Check-ins, recipient updates, community building

    • Teaching Segment (20 minutes): New techniques and concepts

    • Creative Time (45 minutes): Guided artmaking and letter writing

    • Closing Circle (10 minutes): Sharing, reflection, and weekly commitments

    • Weeks 1-2: Foundation techniques and confidence building

    • Weeks 3-4: Advanced artmaking and deeper emotional expression

    • Weeks 5-6: Personal style development and practice integration

    • Small group connections that deepen weekly

    • Optional buddy system for encouragement

    • Private online group for sharing letter responses and inspiration

    • Ongoing support beyond the 6-week series

Materials Needed

    • 6 (or more) blank cards and envelopes - also you will clearly need stamps to mail your cards…

    • Mod Podge and application tools - you can also use Elmers glue or glue sticks, but they are not nearly as effective for our purposes.

    • Curated collection of decorative papers - this can include random magazines, old cards or photographs, whatever you’ve got hanging around!

    • Quality pens for writing and art

    • Bonus materials for experimenting - that can include paints, stamps, pastels, whatever art medium you happen to have around.

  • I can provide you with a starter kit that I will personally create just for you for $45. It will include:

    • 6 blank cards and envelopes as well as 6 forever stamps

    • Mod Podge and an application tool

    • A curated collection of decorative papers - this will include random magazine pages, old cards or photographs, each kit will be different

    • Quality pens for writing and art

    • Bonus materials for experimenting - that will vary by kit and may include stamps or paints
